Open Doors is an international charity serving Christians around the world who face persecution because of their faith. We are seeking an experienced senior Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive, confidential and professional day-to-day administrative support and undertake complex project management duties for the Directors. To provide a comprehensive, confidential and professional service to the Directors at Open Doors and to ensure the smooth running of an efficient and effective EA service, being proactive, welcoming, hospitable and culturally sensitive.

The EA will be the first point of contact and the job holder will need to proactively manage and maintain executive schedules, appointments and travel arrangements to make effective use of their time and facilitating a work/life balance. This will include setting up meetings/telephone calls and speaking engagements for the Directors and creating admin time to ensure the Directors complete the tasks. An important part of the role is managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, as well as day-to-day support in preparing agendas, minutes and reports. The job holder will also need to coordinate a wide variety of organizational and logistical activities and to interface with other departments with regard to work flow management and prioritization.

The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, previous experience in a similar role, be highly motivated, organized, full of initiative, and common sense, with a proven ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks to meet time deadlines. He/she will have the ability to work as part of a team and relate well with staff and the general public. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is also essential and experience of working in a project management environment would be desirable. There is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this post to be held by an actively, practising Christian who assents to our statement of faith.
