Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (pro rata), depending on experience, plus benefits

Come and join our team! We are looking for someone to cover the maternity leave of our Bookkeeper on a part time basis, with the option to take on further administrative duties alongside this, for an up to full time role. Therefore, the role is being advertised as either: Bookkeeper (14 hours/ week) or, Bookkeeper & Administrator (up to full time, 14-35 hours/ week) The successful candidate would be someone who has experience working with financial information or a specific bookkeeping qualification, as well as an excellent eye for administrative detail. For us, it is key that we find someone who understands our values as a church, who takes initiative, is a keen learner, has good communication skills and has a proven record in dealing with confidential information.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for planning and delivering an efficient and compliant bookkeeping service to the Senior Leaders and Trustees, as well as (if taking on the Bookkeeper & Administrator role) responsibility for delivering ministry-related administrative support to the Senior Leaders and Leadership Staff. Responsibilities will include bookkeeping, financial reporting, compliance reporting, HR reporting, communicating with church members on giving related issues and, for the Bookkeeper & Administrator role, general administrative duties necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the church office.
