Dudley House Trust oversees a Christian based community project in Handcross, West Sussex. Established for over 20 years, the Trust serves Handcross and the surrounding villages with a project centred around a Hardware and Craft shop. The shop is a vibrant hub within the community offering a range of services and community initiatives. Linked closely with the local churches this project seeks to ‘Touch every life in the community’ and ‘Share Christ’s love in a practical way’.

Dudley House Trust are seeking to employ a lead manager/s for this project due to the retirement of the previous managers who helped develop the project very well, and built an excellent reputation for the business in the community. The role is suitable for an individual or as a shared role for a couple. The manager/s will need to agree whole heartedly with our Vision and Mission, live out the values and attitudes which flow from that and prayerfully reflect on how to partner with the local church.

The Manager/s oversees all elements of this venture and will require vision and excellent communication, organisation and people skills. Responsibilities include running of the Hardware and Craft shop, overseeing staff and volunteers, liaising with the local church and village organisations and developing fresh initiatives. The role has the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of many people.

The position is contracted at 40 hours per week (Monday-Saturday) which may include occasional evening responsibilities. The benefits package includes salary, onsite accommodation, holidays and a work based pension.
